FUEL REBATES: THE POST-CHAOTIC JAM

After government announced the starting date of the rebates collection, you can see how desperate people are, rushing to the nearest post office to collect their rebates. This is the post chaotic traffic jams at some post offices after the previous one at all petrol stations nationwide.

Why people are so nervous about the rebates? Because they are scared that Pak Lah and his ministers will change their minds again by canceling the rebates. Unsynchronized facts told by Pak Lah and his ministers to the media have proven their unreliable credibility in the public’s eyes. A barking dog can tell more reliable truth of incoming stranger compare to all the speculations made by these BN cronies.

Another reason is because this fuel hike does not spare most of us. It unexpectedly burdens the people and with most of their salary almost depleted at the middle of month, not surprising to see so many people cum refugees hunger for this reinforcement.

Many Malaysians have become more alert and sensitive to numbers especially those with $$$. Rebates such as this is hardly resistible. Not surprising if they are some who started charting the milestone of their next salary date on their calendars at home. More and more people are sensitive to hear words such as GOES UP. Ever since government announce something that GOES UP, you will see many disappointed Malaysians come and united as one regardless of their religions, races or backgrounds to show their despair against Dollah on the streets. While GOES UP is sensitive to people, we are grateful that the rain still COME DOWN on our soil and we remain DOWN in contact to the earth from gravitational pull.

With inflation goes up, we would expect more people to live a chicken life synonym to kais pagi makan pagi, kais petang makan petang. Rebates or no rebates, without successful attempt to stop the government-Petronas scam, we would expect a tougher life ahead.

Dollah cutting candy intake, no difference to Rakyat

Taking a candy out from pocket and give it to 1000 hungry kids? This is what the people felt after Dollah made his latest announcement to cut10% of the ministers and their deputies’ entertainment allowances.

For PM, ministers and their deputies, entertainment allowances are just another bonus for them since they could hardly use them due to their daily hectic schedules to attend functions or entertainment events organized by their cronies, GLCs or NGOs. Sometimes you made traveling attempts more convenient by attending overseas functions as part of your “holiday package”, sponsored with people’s money and somehow not alone in business class but accompanied by your wife or family members. It’s a very smart way of you to hide all this hidden truth from the people.

Come on, worthless cut is still effortless to reduce the burden of the people’s life. If Dollah wants to understand how the people feel, better read the following “7 measures of highly effective leader” proposed by the people:

Point 1: Slash all unnecessary allowances from your personal entitlements since you have been traveling in official cars, using sponsored fuel, living in large official residences served by maids and professionals, traveling on official jets and sponsored trips, etc. Take economic class and no more business class. In fact, business class is for professionals and businessmen, not for ministers and their deputies who are indeed appointed by the people to run the government.

Point 2: Due to food crisis which also directly link to fuel hike, don’t expect the people to cut down on food consumptions at higher price whereas your ministries still allow the old fashion banquet burning lots of people’s money and ending with whole loads of food wastage, which normally end up in the trash bin.

Point 3: Do your own shopping to understand the people’s pocket. Assuming that you shop using RM100, see how much you can buy now for a round of shopping? Hopefully, you will understand the impact brought by the fuel hike on a family with husband earning RM1000 while the wife is not working.

Point 4: Understand the people’s feelings by taking the public transports during rush hours using public bus, LRT, commuter or monorail services without reinforcement from bodyguards. To avoid the exposure of your identity to the public, the people suggest you to disguise in someone else by wearing a mask and dress up like normal people etc.

Point 5: For holidays, you don’t have to travel overseas spending people’s money. Set an example by spending holidays locally with your family. Perhaps, each minister and deputy should share their personal holiday experience in their traveling blogs at these destinations in a way to promote Cuti-Cuti Malaysia among the people. Besides lower cost and less traveling time, this is also good for the local tourism industry to cut down its dependency on foreign tourists.

Point 6: Due to the fuel hike, you can expect an increase among certain groups of government servants and the people “tasty for drinks” either recorded or hidden. This is not surprising since the cost of living has gone up. You can expect more people to do anything to survive on tighter stomach. Better buck up BPR to prepare for this or else the country’s ranking in corruptions will move to another history.

Point 7: If the people want to demonstrate on the street against fuel hike, just allow the police to give them permits. They will not do any harm nor cause any riots. It’s the best place for them to release their despair emotions. This is still better than expressing their disappointments at workplaces, which will reduce productivity at work and some more doesn’t contribute to the economic growth of the country.

Dollah is coming to Sarawak after Sabah

Ok, after disguising himself as the Santa Claus in Sabah, now Dollah is going to come to Sarawak to present his gifts to the people of Sarawak.

How much do the Sarawakians can expect from Uncle Santa. He and his cronies caused many people stranded in longhouses after Gawai for the depleted diesel supply at fuel pumps. Due to the delay, some people miss their flights to fly back to their respective towns and cities wasting hundreds of ringgit per individual. By right his special visit supposes to be giving a state apology to the Sarawak folks for causing all the travel inconvenience rather than special gifts, which might not be even be good news after all.

His announcement last week didn’t really reach the Sarawakians in rural area. It proves that the telecommunication system in the state has not been urbanized well for people living on upper stream. Luckily this is just flash news on fuel rise. If its a message to warn people of natural disaster? Many would have die due to the failure to receive the message in time.

Many Sarawakians have no choice but to depend solely on river to travel due to non-proper road system. Imagine some people are risking their life against the possibilities of capsized boats or serving as a meal to the large native crocs of Sarawak. After a few generations, not much evidence to prove that transportation is getting better.

Seriously look into this, Dollah. Don’t put your focus only on saving your ass on political issues. The fact now is that Sarawakians are living like 3rd class citizens compare to most of the states in Peninsular Malaysia. So if you want to present a gift, be sure that it benefits the people. Don’t be surprise if BN lost in the next election.

The Sarawakians' plea to Pak Lah's announcement

Dear Pak Lah and those who are concern,

For Sabahans and Sarawakians, the announcement of the new price hike is like a celebration, which turns into a tragedy. While we are still talking fondly about the recent Hari Kaamatan and Ari Gawai celebration, the announcement sounds more like a curse to end the happy and joyous celebration.

In the Land of the Hornbill, we are blessed to have so many types of natural resources. We have coal, bauxite, rainforest and most prominently oil and gas supply that has contributed to country’s prosperity over the years.

Before Sarawak joined Malaysia, the oil and gas production was in the hand of the Mat Salleh. After we got in as part of Malaysia, the scenario has changed. Slowly, Petronas took over the rights in the ownership of crude oil and gas in Sarawak from the state government. Since Petronas is owned as GLC by the Federal government, this means that they have the rights to control our oil and gas. In return, we get only small percentage of loyalty that is distributed to State government.

All these years, Petronas profits have been channeled to build tallest towers, world-class airport, LRT networks, and highways and to fund GLCs such PROTON and the Angkasawan program. When we pay our visits to Semenanjung Malaysia, we are amazed by all the modern infrastructure. Yet, back home in Sarawak, we feel like living as Jakun in our own land.

It makes Sarawakians feel so disgust because

1. We have no rights to determine the future of our own oil and gas resource in our own land. We are not been represented well in decision makings.

2. We have to pay more for every litre spent on car tank and cooking gas compare to the people from Semenanjung Malaysia.

3. The Federal government has many excuses to say that the drop in subsidy is to build better infrastructure. It seems like after so many hikes, the Sarawakians’ hope of feeling a smoother and less bumpy ride on better and wider roads is still far from reach in many places.

So, with oil and gas price on the rise and its importance to meet global demands, the time is right for the federal government to rethink back the significant importance of Sarawak's presence as part of Malaysia. We Sarawakians, demand more loyalties, profits and better treats for the contribution from the oil and gas resource to Malaysia. We would like Pak Lah to reconsider his decision on the fuel price hike in favor of the people especially the Sarawakians.

Not granted PSD scholarship still a Blessing

This is indeed another sad chapter of the country’s history. Again the government has denied recognition for the smart, brilliant and hard working students by increasing the chance for them to be honored PSD scholarships, just because they are non-natives (Chinese, Indian, others not considered natives).

After 50 years of independence, BN especially UMNO still play the role of Malay supremacy to deny the non-natives. So what for the Chinese and Indian people have to sacrifice their votes for the supremacy of a Kris Party who will always play their own version of apartheid policy? Even if Chinese and Indians are important to BN’s victory, they are still treated like the 2nd class citizens. The people don’t see any sign that UMNO would want to allow more numbers of this scholarship with so-called non-native people. Even some natives among orang asli, Sabah and Sarawak are been treated unequally, when it comes to education. Some of these non-native ancestors had reside in this land much earlier than some of the ancestors of the Mamak and Sino Malays serving in UMNO.

Stir a bit on their so-called special rights is like sparking a kiamat movie in making for these narrow-minded politicians and their supporters. No matter how disgraceful W. Ka Siong felt over the PSD scholarship quota, it is unlikely that MCA and other non-native parties will be able to change the situation in the presence of the kris party. But hey, failure not to be offered a PSD scholarship is actually a blessing in disguise, a hidden reality that should be rejoiced.

Come on non-native smart people, why should you wait for the PSD scholarship if you are outstanding and brilliant. Should the government fail to fulfill your hope, that doesn’t signal the end of your future? Other countries also offer similar scholarship to promising foreign students, with much better deals. Chan Sek Keong, the Chief Justice of Singapore is a good example of Malaysian born Singaporean, who excels to the highest post as CJ, as one of the lawyers that secured the republic’s claim on Pedra Branca, which originally suppose to be ours. So, next time when you feel like a scapegoat in your own land, think about the gold outside the fence and the blessings that you can offer to the other side of the world.

Think again, if you are smart, do you think it's worthwhile to serve a government lead by BN and controlled by froggy morons, should they request you to serve the bond period. Come on, forget about it. What a waste to spend your youth, expertise and professional service under a government, which put racial cards as 1st priority when it comes to promotions and various type of restrictions. You as the brilliant breed can do much more better elsewhere than sitting inside the government cells. Right now, you should feel relieve and thankful for the chance of been denied a PSD scholarship.

Politicians are like soccer players

First, prominent candidate for Penang CM Lee Kah Choon leaving Gerakan, then Dr. M, Sanusi and his son Mokhzani leaving UMNO followed by Ezam joining UMNO. After that, Nijhar leaving MIC and Tan Kee Kwong leaving Gerakan. Politicians are like buy-in and sell-off soccer players. If BN political parties are visualized as soccer clubs, the soccer magazine might want to write the description for each struggling club in the following manner. Lets call the league where the clubs are playing as EPL (Electoral Polling League).

1. The UMNO FC aka Red “Kris” Devils
This is the most adoring club among the Malays who seem to be die-hard “makan bola, tidur bola fans of Red Devils. In many games, the referees’ decisions seem to be in favor of Red Devils when it comes to games involving this club against their nemesis. There are some players from BR FC who had been banned for a few years in ISA captivity for been seditious to Red Devils. All the while, the club has been proud proclaiming themselves above the others as the best among the best. This is the only club with Nikee dagger logo printed on the players’ shoes, a sign of their supremacy over other clubs. In the last season, the manager’s decision, Dollah Ferguson to replace some senior players with the new players had created a lot of dispute. Their over confident attitude over BR FC had jeopardized them for another perfect league. As a result, the club lost 4 major games in Kelantan, Kedah, Selangor, Perak and KL. With players such as his beloved talented striker, KJ Rooney in the fray, they are currently a lot of backstabbing by other senior players such as Ku Li Ronaldo.

Due to continuous dispute over the top management, the honorary patronage owner, Dr. M Chalton has resigned from the club followed by Mokh-Nisterooy and Sanusi Beck. To strengthen the misfire in the strikers, Dollah had bought an ex-BR FC player named Ezam to fortify the midfield for the coming season.

2. MCA FC aka The “Yellow Star” Blues
This club is the backbone of the Chinese supporters. Its deteriorating performance in the league was mainly contributed by the scandalous, power struggle in management and failure to execute the Red Devils factor. Owned by a controversial and powerful figure, OKT Abramovich. This man is so powerful that he masterminds the club’s achievements quite well, even to the extent of its players. The club is full of scandal. It lost a caliber manager, CS Lek Mourinho, due to his erected act with a woman just before the EPL season begin. The club’s decision to follow Red Devils’ strategy was seem to be the wrong idea, which cause the team to mangle at the end of the season. Still flip-flopped with internal dispute over the snooping job within the club. Many supporters are leaving, losing their faith in the club, which they had supported since 1940s.

3. The MI FC aka The “Sam” Reds
This club used to be the favorite among the Indians. The club owned by Uncle Sam, got nothing much to show off after it fails to protect some of its fans from been put in captivity for raising match issues against the Red Devils. A few senior board members such as Nijhar Rush, has left the club after serving for so many years.

4. Gerakan FC aka The “KK” Gunners
The KK stands for kiasu and kiasi because many of the club’s managerial team and players are mainly island minded people from Penang. This club always stays in the shadow of Red Devils. After humiliating defeats in almost all of the EPL matches including the embarrassing home defeat in Penang, some of its key players like Thierry K Kwong and KC Vierra have resigned and set to join BR FC for another record transfer.
